RITA FALCO
Rita is currently the Head of Financial Governance at Zurich North America, a global insurance company. In this role, Rita leads a team to develop and implement internal controls over financial reporting to ensure financial statement risks are appropriately mitigated with controls that are properly designed and operating effectively. Prior to working for Zurich North America, Rita was a Director of Technical Advisory at CNA Insurance (2010-2012) and a Senior Manager with KPMG LLP (1999-2010). Rita has close to 20 years of finance and accounting experience in the insurance industry.
Rita is passionate about her family and community. She is the assistant coach for the cross country and track and field teams for St. Isidore School, where both of her children currently attend school. She is also an assistant basketball coach for her daughter’s travel basketball team. She loves supporting and challenging the kids on the teams to reach new goals.
When Rita is not working or coaching, she loves cheering for her children in other sports. Her daughter, Alyssa (13), runs cross country, plays basketball and softball, and runs track. Her son, Caden (11), plays football, basketball, baseball, and runs track. Rita also loves running and working out. Her favorite ‘date’ with her husband is their daily workout at 4:30am. Rita met her husband, Joe, in college at NIU. They have known each other for 23 years and have been married for 18 years.
Rita and her family are active parishioners at St. Isidore Parish. Rita is a lector and Eucharistic minister and is on the parish finance committee. She also served a term of three years on the St. Isidore School board (President for one year).
Rita received her Bachelor in Science in Accountancy at NIU and is a Certified Public Accountant. Rita also ran cross country for NIU for four years.
