Mackenzie began her career in the nonprofit sector as a marketing and communications specialist with the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation. There, she worked closely with individuals with lived experience in the foster care system, government agencies, and community partners to strengthen prevention services across Nebraska. This work sparked a deep interest and dedication to supporting children and families. Now based in Chicago, Mackenzie works in corporate social media and marketing. Eager to get involved locally, she joined the Chicago Angels Board in 2025 to help ensure that children and foster families have the resources and guidance needed to navigate the foster care system successfully. In her free time, she enjoys spending time by the lake, reading, designing, and traveling to visit her sisters and family.
